A Tribute to Our Beloved Employee: Mr. Rajesh Kumar Shrestha

The entire One Heart Worldwide team is extremely saddened by the sudden loss of our dear friend and colleague, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, who passed away suddenly following surgery on 18 August 2021 in Kathmandu. Since 2016, Mr. Rajesh served as the Finance Manager at One Heart Worldwide in Nepal. He was warmly known for his good nature, kindness, generosity and friendship. 

During the more than five years that he was with us, Mr. Rajesh provided steadfast support to the entire team in his role as Finance Manager. We all found him to be reliable, providing us with clear guidance and leadership on finance and accounting issues. He was diligent and trustworthy in his work, and he was an excellent problem solver with a cool temperament and positive attitude. 

Mr. Rajesh overcame challenges easily, and he always found creative ways to address difficult problems. He was very disciplined in his job, often working late and on weekends to complete his tasks on time. We all called him ‘Rajesh Sir’ as he deserved our deepest respect and affection. Although we miss him terribly, we are all very happy to have known him as a model staff member, colleague and friend. 

The team at One Heart Worldwide is also holding his family in our hearts during this difficult time. Rajesh was a family man, who always put his family first--his family was the center of his world. 

Even after his family had asked him to retire, so that he could relax and have free time, he refused. 

He was so dedicated, he wanted to continue to make a contribution to the health and wellbeing of mothers and their newborns in Nepal. 

 Mr. Rajesh was a great professional who believed in learning, and he was very committed to ensure that his children had a quality education. Mr. Rajesh will continue to inspire his elder daughter, who is getting a Bachelor's Degree, and his son who is in high school. They will no doubt follow in his footsteps to make a difference in the lives of others.

Mr. Rajesh was also a sportsman who enjoyed playing table tennis and badminton. He had a youthful vigor and energy that he was so inspirational to us, he energized us.

We feel a very large loss with the passing of Mr. Rajesh. We will all cherish our very fond memories of Mr. Rajesh, whose death has affected us all. He will be dearly missed.
